Tim Lay has worked as a journalist, builder's mate and inventor of card games.

His debut novel The Sewerside Chronicles was won the Undiscovered Authors prize in 2007. The
book gained a cult reputation for its gritty and humorous take on trying to make it in a creative industry.
A collection of short stories, was published by Callio Press in 2010.

Non-fiction titles, The Deckchair and Pebble on the Beach for Queenspark Books, are amongst editing
credits, while script work includes a graphic novel for Banter Publishing and an upcoming project for
UK film company YesNo Productions.

Tim divides his time between Brighton and Devon where he runs the award winning literary night, Grit
Lit
